Summer Reading Log Printable

Summer reading log printable for keeping track of books read and enjoyed through the summer months

I mentioned in our Summer Suitcase of Fun plans that I had made a reading log for the boys to start using this summer – well, the printable is ready and here to share for those who would like to use it. I printed the actual log double sided. There is a speech bubble with lines for them to write a brief thought, a favorite quote, or favorite words from the book. And a blank frame for them to draw something from the book.

The boys loving to read is entirely far more important to me than them writing at this point, so the log is very short. Writing skills will grow, but to lose a love and passion for reading would be tragic. We haven’t determined what their reading reward will be – the library offers a summer reading program so we may just transfer these entries over to the library and use their program for the reward, or we may offer small prizes based on pages or books completed.

Front and back cover of the reading log can be downloaded and/or printed here

Inside of the reading log can be downloaded and/or printed here (this I printed double sided)

The reading log is easily bound together with staples.

Happy Reading!
