In my life this week …
As I shared yesterday, this week has been full. We arrived home at 4am Wednesday morning after 1.5 weeks in KY. Laundry and sleep has been the theme of the past two days.

In our homeschool this week …
So much richer than any text book – we had the great joy of exploring several fascinating places on our travels. We explored the museum of General Patton, the Veterans Cemetery Memorial, Fort Duffield, Saunders Springs, drove by the Gold Vault, and then spent time at the South Union Shaker Village. Fascinating stuff! We squeezed in a bit of reading, writing and math during down time at the hotel and then listened to Story of the World as we drove. Almost finished the first set {Ancients} and we love it!

My favorite thing this week was …
The Shaker Village. It was fascinating to see. They were the inventors of many items and were quite advanced for their time, which given their conservative and simplistic lifestyle surprised me.

Things I’m working on …
Organizing my spaces. Being a week and a half in a hotel gave me a lot of time to think about the organization in my home and I came back with pages of ideas to implement!

I’m cooking …
Meals I had left in the freezer for our return. But eager to start back into cooking anything that doesn’t involve a microwave. {our only cooking option in the hotel room.}

I’m grateful for …
Cheerful boys that make traveling a fun adventure. They work so hard on their attitudes, and I am so thankful for their efforts.

A quote to share …
