Puppet Theater Before and After
2012
This simple little puppet theater was found at our local thrift store over the weekend for $1.75 and I knew if I didn’t get to the transformation right away it would never get done. So, despite between house guests and dinner company I sanded, painted and sewed.
A few coats of chalkboard paint {all of the black surfaces are chalkboard}, white paint for the trim and new stage curtains – all from supplies on hand.
I LOVE how it turned out. Much less busy.
I may still paint a clock back on where the original one was as the holes are there for the clock hands and one can never have too many clocks to play with when one is learning about such things.
This is by no means a quality piece, but my boys love doing puppet shows and this folds up for storage quite easily.
I have been keeping track of all {well, most!} yard sale and thrift store purchases this year in an album on Facebook. For those interested in such things you can peak at the album here.
And if you have stories {or pictures!!} of favorite treasures found, please do share!
