Looking Back on week 1 :: day 7
2012
I have so enjoyed the past 7 days of looking at ways we can communicate with our children as well as things we can communicate to them. This is a journey that we are hot in the midst of and it is so good for me to draw the variety of ideas, quotes, books and other resources together into concise (at least to myself!) thoughts. God is continually molding and shaping us, and it is my desire that this series inspires ideas of ways you can be communicating things to your children in a way that works for your family.
Over the past 7 days I have also enjoyed reading through others 31 day series. Here are a smattering of the posts I have enjoyed.
Learning Focus, Acquiring Balance from 31 days of Balance lists some practical ideas for finding balance and solid truth.
How do we Forgive? from 31 days of Forgiveness is a precious reminder of what Christ did on the cross for us so that our sins can be forgiven and, in light of that, how we ought to forgive others.
Make a Reading Wand from 31 days of Enjoying Children’s Books is a fun activity to do with new readers.
The Cost of Autism from 31 days of Autism really opened my eyes up to some practical expenses I had never considered before.
The Barriers from 31 days to Hospitality is the one post you must read if you can only read one of all listed. It is convicting, and challenging and beautiful about why we should be investing in people. I want to print in and put it on my fridge. And on my bathroom mirror. And in my Bible, the ceiling above my pillow … you get the idea. It’s good. Just read it.

Thanks, Jessica, I appreciate you including my link and long with so many wonderful ones
The Barriers article summarized exactly what's been on my mind lately. I've been convicted about how I tend to serve/give when I can do so behind the scenes and go unnoticed, but I've not been good about standing face to face with people and personally reach out to those I may not know. I'm with you, I think I'm going to print it and post it everywhere too
