Our habit focus in the month of May is self-control. We are defining self control as the ability to control the expression of our passions and emotions. We have enjoyed some great conversations about what this means and how we have seen this displayed well or poorly in characters from our stories. We recently read through some stories about monks and their self imposed disciplines and those stories contributed a lot to the conversations about self control.

Every athlete exercises self control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 1 Corinthians 9:25
